Welcome to Arc's Video Shorts - a regular new feature taking a snapshot of our diverse range of work

Video 11: Funded by A New Direction, Arc worked in partnership with Greenford High School in Middlesex to create a special celebratory drama programme based on the school's historical heroes. Entitled 'Greenford Heroes', the project saw Arc's highly-skilled team of writers, directors and facilitators come together with teachers and 241 Year 8 pupils to create original stories and devise new scripts, leading to an epic performance including all participants

Video 10: Pact by Clifford Oliver, commissioned by British Transport Police. We are pleased to present Arc's mini-documentary exploring the new play, which has been sparked by the many discussions that followed performances of Boy X. Violent crime and gangs continue as central themes in this piece, which enters the challenging and taboo area of 'snitching' and the walls of silence that can prevent identification and conviction of offenders

Video 9: 'The Battle for Barking' Screening. A special event co-hosted by Arc, Studio 3 Arts and The Filim Company at The Malthouse Studios on 2 February. The film was followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and Margaret Hodge, Labour MP for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (filmed by The Filim Company)

Video 8: Crossing Over by Clifford Oliver. Originally commissioned by Camden Public Safety Team and sponsored by Transport for London, the programme was developed through consultation with young people and parents and focuses on the risks and consequences of distraction and poor judgement when on the street.

Video 7: Changing Spaces. Funded by Well London, Arc worked with a group of young people from LBBDs Heath Ward to create a piece of drama based on the stories of elderly residents. The piece was performed at a community fun day in July

Video 6: Safe - Arc's health & safety film specially commissioned by the Olympic Delivery Authority following extensive tours of primary and secondary schools in the Olympic Host Boroughs. Written by Associate Director Jim Dunk, Safe helped young people understand how to stay safe when living, playing or working near a construction site (filmed by Media Citizens)

Video 5: Arc facilitated a Creative Arts Day in Toulouse with Year 8 pupils from EuroCampus schools, The International School of Toulouse, Deutsche Schule Toulouse and College Victor Hugo

Video 4: The Marvel of Muddy End by Clifford Oliver, directed by Carole Pluckrose - the second Community Play created with and performed by Barking & Dagenham Community Players, funded by the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham in 2010 (filmed by Media Citizens)

Video 3: A special public performance of Boy X by Clifford Oliver, directed by Carole Pluckrose, at Waterloo Station for London Week of Peace 2009, supported by British Transport Police

Video 2: Trading Stories by Clifford Oliver, directed by Carole Pluckrose - the first Community Play created with and performed by Barking & Dagenham Community Players, funded by the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham in 2009
