Justice for Stephen Lawrence
Our hearts and thoughts over recent weeks have very much remained with our Patron, Neville Lawrence OBE and his family, whom we have been proud to support through the very difficult and highly-charged trial for the murder of their son Stephen.
After 18 years of injustice, Neville and his family have finally received some relief following the life sentencing of two of Stephen's murderers at The Old Bailey on 4 January 2012. However, while the unanimous guilty verdict has been a triumph, we will continue to support Neville in the campaign to bring all of his son's killers to justice.
We will also continue to push our hard-hitting work on anti-racism, tolerance, anti-weapon and gang crime into schools, colleges and communities throughout London and the UK, with the knowledge that young people can take control of their choices and actions, holding in their hands the power to turn negatives into positives.
